Writing a wargame

Hi all,

I've been writing wargame rules as long as I've been playing them, about 30+ years. It started the first time I saw something in a game that could be improved. Eventually I was re-writing and then designing.

The game I am announcing here is a rewrite of one that I started 29 years ago. Back then I wanted to keep playing SPI's Global War after a move. We had a group of six players then and I didn't want to quit. So I wrote it as a PBM game, using handwritten letters. That grew to over 5… Continue

The Dahomey Expeditions

Just ran a series of pulp-adventure dinosaur hunting games at a convention last weekend.
I used homegrown rules (though taking inspiration and form from Piquet's skirmish games), Pendraken's 10mm Boer War range for the adventurers and Magister Militum's 10mm dinosaurs.
